[ a peaceful afternoon? what's that? it sounds like something nice, but daichi isn't sure such a mythical thing could exist in his life. not when he's training a small, angry dragon and listening to some small child yelling. daichi is trying to work with his little gible when he hears it and decides to check out what's going on.

--or, a not so small child, he finds, as he steps out and spots the source of all that noise. ]

Hey! [ his gible gives a yell too, like it wants to catch the stranger's attention. ] Are you lost?

Yamik– ...Eh?! [Distracted by his unsuccessful search, Yamaguchi cuts off with a start when he hears Daichi call out to him. Yamaguchi turns quickly toward the other boy and his Gible, defaulting automatically to stammering an apology .]

Sorry! I'm Yamaguchi Tadashi. I'm not…exactly lost, no? Have you seen–

[Without warning he stops again, eyes going wide as they catch on something going on behind Daichi's back.]

Y…Yamikaa!!

[As if in answer, there's a loud chorus of cawing and flapping overhead, in the direction that Daichi just came from: it seems that his personal murder of crows has finally arrived.]

Yamikaa! There you are! [One of the Murkrows—an energetic male with white-streaked feathers in its tail—splits off from the flock upon hearing Yamaguchi's yell, cawing delightedly and flapping down in a whirlwind of feathers into his waiting hands. So that's where his pesky pokémon ran off to.] Finally…aughh, what'd you take off for, Yamikaa!? Where were you…?

Oh, your pokemon got abducted by this flock.

[ daichi likes pokemon. really, he does, he would never wish any injury onto any pokemon and thinks they deserve good trainers or happy lives in the wild, you know, whatever works best for them.

but daichi is going to punch these murkrows one day, so help him.

he tries to shoo them away, but they stay instead, squawking and being generally obnoxious at him and yamaguchi. ]

[Yamaguchi tilts his head a bit as he surveys the flock, still not letting go of Yamikaa.]

Wow…are all those Murkrow yours?

[corvidad]

No.

[ which seems really unconvincing when they're all right there, doesn't it? ]

They just keep following me around.

How come? [Yamaguchi's not the most stellar trainer, sure, but his Murkrow's never just flown off like that before.]

If I knew that, I would've done something about it so they would go away.

[ he could guess a reason, but he's never actually been sure. ]

…… [Yamaguchi doesn't say anything, but disappointment is written plain on his face. This trainer-looking guy doesn't like Murkrow?? But they're good pokémon…]
