Yeah. I just got Haruo a couple weeks ago.

Haruo... that's a cute name. Have you two rested at all? Gone to the Pokémon Center? If not, Toshi and I can help you two heal up.

I think a heal would be good for him. Are you going to be a pokemon doctor?

I don't think so. I like Pokémon battling! My other Pokémon are very good at it, and even Toshi isn't a bad battler. We've gotten a few gym badges together.

I've been friends with Toshi since I was six. But I started battling two years ago!

We're getting there! It's a lot of work.

Two badges. I just started training for them - it's really tough!

You didn't start when you got your first Pokemon?

I did a lot of training and exploring... but I started to get strong enough that I needed to start collecting badges.

Did they stop listening to you?

For a little bit, yeah. Not so much Toshi, it was definitely Mai, my Kangaskhan.

Was Mai a trade?

Yes, my senpai bred her and she hatched before she got to me, so she sort of got a closer impression of my senpai than me.

But she listens now because you're strong enough for her. Right?

For now, yeah! I'm traveling towards the next city to get my third badge.

Strength is important, but so is battle sense. You need to be careful and strategic when you battle.

Have you gotten used to held items? Have you exploited your Sandshrew's ability? Or do you have any TMs?

Sandshrew doesn't have Sandstorm yet. And TMs are really expensive.
