[... It's not that Oikawa gets lost in cities. They're just needlessly complicated, is all. And it's getting late and he wouldn't be doing this... except his vulpix (Hajime) is cranky and refusing to get in her pokeball or walk.

So he's carrying her in his arms. Which is just making finding his way seem even harder.

And so, what he's doing is asking for directions.

He taps the stranger on his shoulder - he looks like a trainer so should know where he's going, right?]

Hello, do you know your way around here?

[Hinata whirls around, also holding one of his Pokémon - his Archen is clawing around on his shirt, already having torn a hole in it with its claws as it scrambled around. Hinata didn't seem to be paying it any mind, at least.]

Uh, well. I'm following a map? So sure! Where do you wanna go?

[Maps are a good idea. And Oikawa was actually using one before but he ditched it. He got lost while using it so there really wasn't much point trying to get unlost with it.

But he's not going to say that.

Hajime blinks gently and yawns at him. His Archen's movements are probably making her (more) tired.]

To the pokemon centre, I swear they must hide them underground in cities. [Yes, he is embarrassed not to be able to find such an obvious convenience.]

Oh, I had to run there today anyway! It was... uh.

[He points one way, then hesitantly points another...?]

Well, I can find it on the map. I guess.

[Well, it's not like Oikawa knows any better. He's not going to pull out his map though because showing he has one would be embarrassing.]

Ah, so we can go together, that's a relief.

[Making a stranger go out of their way because his sense of direction couldn't help him out of a paper bag would be so much worse than tagging along when he's already going there.]

[Luckily for Oikawa, Hinata's at least good with getting to where he wants to go. Even if he's forgotten where exactly to go. He pours over the map as he wanders, looking confused and letting out very noisy "HMMMM" sounds.] Not that way... or, no, maybe it is that way?

[This bodes well. Oikawa tentatively peers over Hinata's shoulder.

Nope, still can't read it to save his life. Just something about city streets. He might not like the wilderness but at least he manages to stay on track there.]

I'm Oikawa, by the way.

[His enthusiasm gets a smile out of Oikawa.]

Is that so? It's not the easiest class to get into, you know. [Is he sometimes smug about being one? Yes. Yes, he is.]

Wahh, but they're so cool! Their Pokémon are so fast and hit all BWAHH! and they look all confident and then their Pokémon deal a blow like SHWAHH!

[Was that... what language was that?]

So true! [He thinks. It's hard to say.] Maybe I can treat you to a battle later and show you up close.

Of course. [Look who's smug. It's Oikawa.]
