[ oh, now this is bound to be interesting. oikawa might have an actually good proposition for him, or he's trying to sell shit like it's gold bars. having seijoh in a place where they would owe karasuno a favor is good enough as it is, but daichi is going to get everything out of this that he can. ]

And how is any of this going to help me?

Money. [Because money is the answer to everything.

Oikawa drops his joking tone, this whole deal is a pain in his ass and he wants it over with.]

A deal went South and I'm short large amounts of product for the next two weeks.

I thought you might have some for sale. I can replace it - below cost - after those two weeks are up. You make a profit, I keep things moving at my end and everybody wins.

[ daichi hums, rolling the proposition over in his head. on one hand, they certainly would be making money, plus having seijoh in their debt would be leverage beyond belief. but on the other hand, kiyoko, yachi, and a full pulls through ukai gave him a rough idea of who oikawa's usual buyers were. it would be so easy to step in where oikawa failed, put karasuno's foot in the door and play the game for the long haul. seijoh would be crawling all over their ass about it though, and that might not make it worth it. hard to say, really.

for now, he presses, just to see how desperate oikawa really is. ]

If you lost your own product, why should I trust you with mine? Or that you'll pay me on time, for that matter.

Because I'll be directly involved, not outsourcing to the recruits. I do have some scruples.

[He's pretty desperate. Over time, Seijoh's connections to other families withered and while they're strong enough on their own when something like this happens, they're left with few and unappealing options.

Still, if Sawamura wants to try taking their business that's as good as declaring war and Iwaizumi's guns are well maintained.]

[ that was weirdly reassuring, actually. oikawa was a dick, but at least he was a dick who could keep his word. still, the temptation to screw over seijoh completely was still there, and it's not like they're the only one on the block who'd want to. they could probably work something out with datekou, if they had restocked recently, maybe. ]

Fair enough, but what kind of product and how much do you need exactly? I can't make promises unless I know what I'm dealing with here.

[ he knows he's buying time, but this is also a pretty legitimate concern. daichi has stock, sure, but who knows how much oikawa needed. ]

Cocaine and heroin. Only the good stuff, mind. Three kilos of cocaine and five of heroin.

[On the low side, for what Seijoh moves, but it's just for two weeks and then everything will slide back into place like he never had to do this, but for the extra cash lining Karasuno's pockets.]

[ daichi clicks his tongue, knowing it might not be wise to do over the phone, not to give any oikawa any breathing room, but heroin was tricky. in all honesty, daichi was trying to move heroin out of karasuno's repertoire and was getting successful with that, so they didn't have much left. ]

We have the cocaine, but I can only sell you two of heroin.

[Oikawa tuts into the phone.] Sawamura-chan! Keeping it to yourself? I didn't know you were so self-centred.

[That would be a big step on the way to bridging the gap but he wishes Daichi could have just given him everything he needs. He pulls out his cellphone and brings up a table of sales, a glance over the numbers tells him he will still need to source more for any comfort, but they'd be able to scrape by without it. Maybe.]

But I suppose I can that much off your hands.

Hey, if you don't want it, I can sell it to your friends myself.

[ it's an empty threat, sure, but it's not very often he gets to make oikawa squirm like this. ]

[He is squirming. Just a little. He keeps it from his voice but if he doesn't even get what Sawamura's offering then he's got no time at all to sort out a different option.]

You could, but your back might get a little uncomfortable with a knife in it, Sawamura-chan.

You're the one letting down valuable customers, not me.

[ he doesn't think any of oikawa's customers are on the verge of turning on him, at least.

I don't think they'd let you cut me down before getting what they paid for.

Ah, I don't think they would have much of a say in the matter. But if you want to bank on that, I won't stop you.

[He would rather not try and off Sawamura. For one thing, Karasuno has a decent amount of muscle and puling it off would be trouble. For another, putting his hands on the drugs would become incredibly difficult afterwards. But he's getting under his skin and when that happens the threats come out.]

[ interesting. he'll file away that reaction for now, knowing many other ways to put pressure on oikawa's market than screwing with his supply chain. ]

That's true, if they're with Seijoh I'm sure they'd just get themselves arrested on rookie mistakes before being useful.

Ah, speaking of which, use one of your good men if you're coming to pick up product. I don't want to be cleaning up after you any more than this.

[Oikawa flinches but doesn't voice anything to give him away. If Daichi wants to believe Seijoh's incompetent that can only benefit Oikawa in the long run. And if he doesn't then Oikawa isn't going to give him the satisfaction.]

[ he doesn't really think seijoh is that stupid, if anything he wonders how long it'll be before there are bodies in the river. ]

I'll leave it up to you. Oh, and you'll be paying me double for my goods, right?

[ considering how hard it is to get heroin and cocaine into japan, it's already millions of yen to get a kilo, so asking for double is a lot. but he has bargaining room and he's going to take it. ]

[Oikawa tuts into the phone.] I don't think so. If I wanted to lose that much money I wouldn't need you, would I? [Especially when Sawamura can't cover all of the heroin.]

You sell to me at standard price. In two weeks I sell you back the same amount at seventy percent. Thirty percent profit for you and everyone is happy.

Sixty percent, and if you pay me extra for the heroin I'll count that as closed, you don't have to give me any product back.

Sawamura-chan's trying to put me out of business!

[Oikawa pretends to contemplate his offer. But it's starting to sound like a deal he can live with, stretching his own supply of heroin will be easier if he's not selling any back to Karasuno. He might even be able to manage without sourcing more.]

Sixty five and ten percent extra for the heroin.

[ daichi rolls his eyes so hard oikawa can probably hear it through the phone line. but still, that deal isn't so bad in karasuno's favor. he's grinning now, mind running with all the different ways this can help them out down the road. oikawa is being careful, but this is more than enough information for him to play with. ]

You're going to owe me one after all this trouble, Oikawa.

[tooruler]

I know.

[And he doesn't mind as much as the disdain in his voice might suggest. If he does Karasuno a favour after this, then it might start some civil dealings in future. One lost shipment aside, Aoba Johsai works, they run like a well oiled machine and extending a hand to Karasuno when they call in that favour shouldn't put them far out of their way.]

Do we have a deal, Sawamura?

Have your men here tomorrow at noon with the money. I'll have everything ready.
