[Iwaizumi has taken him to a baseball game. There is nowhere Yamaguchi could take him that he finds more disappointing than a baseball game, but he lets it slide, he's happy picking the locations for their dates, it just means that Yamaguchi might have to put up with going to exhibits like "Aliens: Are They Among Us?" if Oikawa gets any more comfortable with him.]

I'm glad you agree, Yama-chan. I would hate to be the only one who thought so.

[Once they exit the cafe, Oikawa pauses, he almost wants to ask if Yamaguchi wants to do something else, but he has some school work that needs his attention, and if he spends too much more time in Yamaguchi's presence, he thinks he might blurt out something embarrassing and heartfelt far too soon.]

I think I have to go home now, do you have to walk to the station as well, or is this the part where I ask if I can give you a kiss goodbye?

[He's so distressed at the thought (of being spotted doing something so intimate with a guy no one even knows he's spoken to before, not the kiss itself. necessarily.) that he completely misses the first part of that question—even though he does in fact have to walk to the station as well.]

If you want to go somewhere else to kiss me then you'll have to suggest the location, but saying no is an option. I wouldn't want you to get a reputation as a guy who kisses any boy who takes him on a date. [He pretends to realise something, feeling like he's being unfortunately fake when all he really wants is to not make this awkward.] Unless that's the kind of reputation you want?
