[chu! Ethan smiles wide, awkward, bouncing against the solid ground under him]

I-I have all our papers-- y-you want to go right now? I mean, we could get settled down a bit, first, but... [they'd waited a long time to get married, why should they wait any longer??]

[ Nuzzling your neck sweetly. Heck, Red's just happy this is happening. ] If that's what you want!

Then... now! Let's go right now. [Ethan hugs Red in return of the nuzzling. It's a quick hug, though, Ethan taking Red's hand after and made sure his running shoes were on correctly.]

R...Really? [ Red's a little slow up on the uptake, but he smiles brightly and laughs as Ethan starts to lead him along, breaking into a clumsy jog. ] O-Okay, then! Let's go!

Lots of anxious waiting outside the court at the town hall, but eventually, someone will call them in to say vows and such. Ethan does let go of Red's hand for a second]

[ It's just so weird that this is actually happening. Red feels like he's walking through fog. It's a good kind of disbelief, though! He smiles shakily at Ethan for reassurance. ]

Of course! I've been waiting for this my whole life.

[ Deep breaths... ] So, let's do it!

And now I'm super lazy and don't want to write wedding vows....

[Oh, Ethan's got your number Red and he'll prove it in his vows! He knows to mention how he loves Red more than anybody else, and how he only want to be with Red and wants Red to only be with him, how he'll follow Red anywhere in the world, if they can be together. He punctuates it all with saying how he'll never leave Red, no matter what, and he never wants Red to leave him. He's still dorky about all of it, but he's absolutely honest. He waits to here the question "Do you, Ethan, take Red to be your lawfully wedded husband?"]

[ And Red is so happy he could cry at those vows, basically, but he manages to stammer out his own set too. He promises love Ethan forever and always do his best to make him happy, and to stay with him forever, no matter what happens, and whatever the future brings they'll face it together side by side.

And when he gets asked the same question- ]

HAPPIEST MOMENT OF ETHAN'S LIFE. He'll kiss you even longer than that first time he did, only he knows how so it's only joyous instead of awkward.]

[ Red kisses him back with so much passion and happiness that ETHAN WON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO HANDLE IT.

This is without a doubt the best day of his life. ]

[okay, this in front of people, so Ethan will eventually cut off that blissful kiss. THEY CAN CONTINUE IT ELSEWHERE. He removes his lips from Red, looking him in the face before giving him a big hug, lifting him off the floor a bit. They're excused by the officiator, who gives them the final piece of paper to sign and turn in. A nice secretary hands Red their new marriage certificate.]

[ Red lets out a small noise of happiness (and lung compression) when Ethan lifts him off the floor, and he's so giddy he can barely get his signature on the paper to hand it over. He takes the marriage certificate with shaking hands.]

W-We did it! I can't believe we're actually married!

I knew it would happen! A-and there's still all the other stuff to do, too... ah, this is gonna be great, Red. We'll get a permanent-like house and you can do the tournaments around here, m-maybe I'll open a day-care, I'd love to raise little pokemon. [he's shied away from battling over the years. Ethan was all too ready to be domestic for once in his life. The traveling was fun, but he wanted a bed to call his and Red's and yard and a door random young people just walk right through for a chat!]

You really want to? That sounds so cute! You'd have so many baby pokémon! [ nothing about that is not adorable and Red would really like for it to happen ]

It'll be great, it'll be the best, even-- hahaa! [Ethan laughs, squeezing Red's hand tight and slinging his bag back over his shoulder after he safely stashed away the marriage certificate]

B-but first thing's first, we gotta get a place to stay tonight, don't we? I don't think we'll be able to find a house of our own before dark!

...Oh, man, that's right! I didn't even think about that! [ Good thing Ethan sometimes remembers things because Red sure doesn't... ]

W-well, this is kinda, I mean, also our honey moon. We could get a nice hotel for a week or something, while we get a house in order.

[ It takes him a minute to realize but Ethan’s getting at, but when he does, Red will flush brightly again. This time he’s all smiles. ]

Y-Yeah! We could totally do that! We’re gonna have the best week ever, just you wait!

Kinda funny, I got all caught up figurin' out the wedding, didn't plan nothing for after. [he chuckles, adjusting the back of his hat]

Let's find a hotel, though!

Okay! Lead the way! Man, I can't wait to call Mom and Daisy and Green and Professor Oak to tell them that it's official! And Misty and Brock to, duh, and Lance and them from the Indigo League, and that girl Whitney from Johto and Lyra and your mom while we're at it and...

We could send back old fashion letters, like, wedding announcements, only the wedding already happened. My mom would like a nice picture of us, I'm sure, so we should put that in it! Especially if we're gonna stay here a while and all.
