[Before he can finish the words a telltale groan comes from the official entrance to the "clinic" nearby, just out of seeing distance from the entryway. Yamaguchi stops dead, his apology cut off mid-sentence, and his eyes widen involuntarily as Tsukishima brusquely takes the bags of supplies from his hands and returns to the examination table in the clinic proper.
From where he stands Yamaguchi can just make out the shape of a man-size figure limply sprawled across the surface of the examination table…twitching, making that guttural sound…
…like it's still alive…
Yamaguchi finds himself somehow frozen from the legs down, strangely unable to move forward toward Tsukishima or back out the door, though his rational mind is telling him it'd be a good idea to go whether or not his friend minds the company. Tsukishima doesn't usually do this—this sort of 'business' up here. That's what the basement is for…
Even when Tsukishima begins to mix the sedatives for maximum potentiation, Yamaguchi still doesn't move. Even though he knows what comes next, once the 'surgery' starts…]

Not that the guy will be screaming or anything when he knocks him out. He has the 'better safe than sorry' motto when it comes to his job.
He doesn't mind Yamaguchi watching- he already caught him doing work like this before, he knows what's coming. He just wonders if he'll be able to stay through this. Tsukishima fills the syringe with sedative and walks over to the guy-]
Please close the door Yamaguchi.
[Whether he will be on the inside or outside is up to Yamaguchi himself. But the door need to be closed.
He grabs man's jaw and makes him look Tsukishima in the eye- after making a tsking sound, he injected the liquid from the syringe in the man's body.]

Only when he turns back around to the sight of Tsukishima injecting his 'patient' with a tranquilizer does Yamaguchi realize what he's just signed himself up for, and the only prospect that could outweigh his unease about being privy to the impending horror show is the thought of Tsukishima snorting at him in disdain behind his back, should Yamaguchi abruptly change his mind and scurry back out of the room now like a scared, indecisive kid.
Yamaguchi swallows. He might as well try to keep busy and assist Tsukishima while he's here, right? That might make things go more smoothly.]
D...D'you need any help, Tsukki?
no subject
[Tsukishima was slightly surprised. Yamaguchi usually doesn't offer him help with these things. Mostly because he's not used to seeing a lot of blood and organs being removed methodically.
He pulls on synthetic gloves and takes scizzors, cutting through the man's shirt and tossing it away. What could Yamaguchi do...? He takes a scalpel and probes the place on man's body with his fingers- where the spleen is-and makes a cut.]
See the white, plastic containers on the table? Fill them with ice. Also, bring me the metal bowl and put it on the help table next to me.
[Another calm slice. Tsukishima's hands are moving the scalpel with precision, cutting through flesh methodically, the blood finally spilling through the wound. Man wasn't making any noises.]

Even now he's prone to occasional bouts of stomach weakness. Especially when it's borne out of empathy, from things like watching people overeat, or seeing others get sick in front of him…or hurt.]
…Okay, Tsukki! Got it. [Yamaguchi swallows and steels himself to avoid letting any nervousness show. Tsukishima doesn't need to be distracted right now.
Keeping his eyes safely averted from the table (mercifully quiet at present, no screams as Tsukishima begins to work), Yamaguchi does as he's bid, filling the ice buckets for what he assumes is preparation for…whatever's being removed. Grabbing the metal bowl next, he heads back over to the table Tsukishima directed. Yamaguchi then makes the mistake of glancing over while setting it down.]
…! [That's…oh, crap. That's a lot of blood. Yamaguchi feels suddenly ill, and is forced to quickly mask it by hastily retreating back several steps. The scent of blood fills his nostrils anyway and he looks for distraction again, voice cracking with false cheer while he wrings his hands.] Th-There, Tsukki. All done!

Compared to Tsukishima who has cold, blank look on his face as he uses his tools carefully, suctioning excess blood so that it doesn't get in the way, and then proceeding to cut even deeper. Once he's done, he uses clams to keep the cut open so his hands are free to take stuff that's inside.
His lips twitch when he spots gauze neatly sewn inside the guy's body, so he takes his tools to carefully remove it. It's painstaking process, but after ten minutes, the gauze is removed intact and placed into the metal bowl Yamaguchi brought.]
Wash that very carefully. The gauze contains around million dollars in diamonds, rubies and other jewels. Use other bowl to wash them and put it into box.
no subject
D…Diamonds!? [He hadn't realized what the initial extraction process had been for— that is a lot of valuables for anyone to be transporting, even in a business like theirs.] …Did you say a million American?
no subject
[Seriously Yamaguchi, think a little. He takes needle and closes the wound. He has nothing to do with this part of the body anymore.]
He also mentioned giving you some money to pay your schooling if everything goes well.
no subject
[Tsukishima's brusque, businesslike tone and the mention of funds for law school is enough to get Yamaguchi to move at last, forcing his trembling fingers still as he unwraps the gauze packet. Then he stiffens again.]
Tsukki…! [No, dammit, focus! Focus. Don't think about getting sick–] Um…are there more plastic gloves in the cabinet?!
[Because while there are definitely stone-shaped, glittering pieces of goods in the packet, they're currently coated in a film of blood and viscera that got through the waterproof casing.]
no subject
Yes, it's in the cabinet over there.
[It was a silly question that Yamaguchi knows answer to but Tsukishima doesn't nag him about it because he seems rather distraught from all the blood. But cleaning the diamonds and packing them in the black, velvet box he prepared earlier, should distract him quite some time. Tsukishima didn't really need help for removing this guy's kidneys and liver- he's done it million times before.]
no subject
He normally doesn't mind the silence hanging between the two of them—Tsukishima isn't overly talkative when he's at peace, that's part of what makes him Tsukishima—but the lack of chatter makes Yamaguchi nervous now. Still, he resists the urge to fill the quiet himself, with mindless babble about Karasuno and school business. He offered to do this, after all, and Tsukishima will be annoyed with any distraction from his work that's so unnecessary.
It's for the gang, he repeats to himself fervently. It's for the money. It's for my school…it's for everyone. That guy probably…no, he definitely deserved it…he deserved it…]
no subject
When he places it in ice that Yamaguchi prepared beforehand, he speaks up-]
Anything you want to talk about?
[Tsukishima might not be able to come up with topic, but Yamaguchi might have some idea.]
