[it helps that being called senpai makes nishinoya feel extra cool, cooler than knowing two different ways to kill a man with a book, maybe three considering how big that damn textbook is.]

Here? Don't you want to go inside?

I was thinking about it...are you going to?

Yeah, I got to get this stuff to Suga. [he slaps yamaguchi on the shoulder. the kid might not really be a member yet, and nishinoya doesn't really like tsukishima at all, but he's certain the kid won't do anything stupid if they take him to the back. it'll be fine.] C'mon, let's get you outta here.

[tsukkinice]

Sugawara-senpai's here too? [Yamaguchi brightens a little, giving the older man a small smile as he gathers his books. So much reading...] All right, then. Let's go!

[callmesempai]

He should be! [ nishinoya leads the way, taking both of them into the lounge. it's better lit and a lot quieter, with the mismatched coffee tables, a big tv, assorted couches and big chairs, with a small kitchenette to the side. it looks kind of trashy, compared to the rest of the bar, but all of them had brought in their things to this place to make it home, as weird and ugly as it seemed. ]

Just make yourself at home, and I'm gonna finish this liiiittle bit of business and be back.

[Yamaguchi nods with another smile, and gives Nishinoya a small bow of gratitude. He knows better than to ask.]

Thanks, Nishinoya-senpai! [Once Nishinoya heads out for his briefing, Yamaguchi will set his things down and get to work tidying the room a bit. It's not much, but he likes helping out a bit in whatever ways he can, a habit he picked up watching Kiyoko and Sugawara.]

[ it's not much of a briefing - nishinoya just gives the papers, gives the low down of what happen (or what didn't happen, thanks open window), and is told to spend the rest of the night around just in case someone got suspicious and tried to trash him and his apartment (again). easy enough stuff, or at least, he's gotten used to it. the whole thing takes half an hour at most, and before long he's making his way back to the main lounge to grab a bite to eat.

Are you cleaning?

Hm? Oh, yeah...the room was a bit messy, so I was gonna take care of it before I finish studying. ['Finish' might be optimistic, but Yamaguchi can at least keep reading through his books until he falls asleep.] Is that okay?

[He hasn't thrown anything away except scattered trash and wrappers, though it's possible the others wouldn't want someone going through their stuff.]

Sure, but you don't have to do that kind of stuff.

I wanted to, though? I see the others doing it sometimes. [But that's just because you guys and Hinata make a mess]

[ nishinoya just laughs ]

Ohh, I get it, putting off your studying till later, right?

[tsukkinice]

Eh? No, that's not it... [having a break helps him to refocus on working after, even if it'll probably hurt him academically when he's got six chapters left in the morning]

[callmesempai]

Nah, don't worry about it! [he slaps yamaguchi on the back, a little too hard.] You'll be fine, it can't be that hard.

[says the kid who dropped out of high school.]

[Yamaguchi laughs a little, nervously.]

Well, I'm not as smart as Tsukki. If I don't spend enough time studying this stuff, it'll get messy for my grades.

[callmesempai]

Then why weren't you studying in here from the beginning?

[tsukkinice]

[He can't really think of a good answer for that, so he sheepishly settles for the truth.] I didn't know if anyone would mind...I've never really been inside of here, unless I was with somebody else.

[callmesempai]

Oh! [yamaguchi you silly child] You can come in whenever you want, I mean, that's what it's here for, you know?

[tsukkinice]

That's great, I'll be able to work a lot better in here. I probably should've asked sooner...

[callmesempai]

Didn't Suga tell you it was fine?

[usually he does for the new recruits so they have somewhere safe to hide instead of up in the bar.]

[tsukkinice]

I don't think so? He was hurt pretty bad from the day before when he showed us around...he probably forgot.

[callmesempai]

Oh yeah... well, I say it's okay, and you can ask Suga later, he's bound to come by tonight.

[tsukkinice]

Okay, Nishinoya-senpai.

...You're back early tonight, aren't you? [Yamaguchi's not looking for details, just whether or not anything in Nishinoya's mission went poorly. The older man seems to be in a pretty good mood, which bodes well, though Yamaguchi doesn't mind helping Sugawara with damage control if they have a use for him..]

[callmesempai]

Yeah, I got lucky this time! [he doesn't go into details, and it's unlikely yamaguchi can make him.] I thought I wouldn't be home for another hour or two.

[tsukkinice]

[Yamaguchi's silent for a moment, pulling out his textbooks as he mulls this information over. Nishinoya works pretty long hours for Karasuno when he's on family business, doesn't he? So do Tanaka and the others, even Tsukishima.

It's got to be dangerous, and difficult, and exhausting, but...Yamaguchi finds he's really jealous of them, nonetheless.]
